Role Overview
We are seeking a driven and relationship-oriented Business Development Manager to lead client acquisition efforts and grow our network of HNW/UHNW clients. The ideal candidate will have strong networks within the Chinese-Australian business community and a passion for private wealth, investments, and family office services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute client acquisition strategies aligned with the firm's long-term goals.
  • Identify, engage, and onboard new HNW/UHNW clients through warm networks, referrals, and strategic outreach.
  • Leverage your personal and professional network to drive client acquisition and revenue growth.
  • Understand clients' wealth needs, family dynamics, and investment goals to introduce tailored service offerings.
  • Collaborate closely with internal investment, legal, and operations teams to ensure a seamless onboarding and client experience.
  • Stay current on market trends and relevant investment opportunities to engage clients meaningfully.
  • Build trusted relationships with prospects, demonstrating the Firm's value proposition and client-centric model.
  • Track and report BD activity metrics; refine approach based on feedback and results.
  • Help develop marketing materials and client pitch decks tailored to target segments.
  • Fluent in both English and Chinese

Melbourne is the preferred base. Candidates based in Sydney may also be considered if they are willing to travel to Melbourne as required.

Ideal Candidate

  • Demonstrated track record in business development or relationship management within private banking, wealth management, or the family office space.
  • Deep network among HNW or UHNW individuals, particularly within the Chinese-Australian community.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a boutique environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Mandarin skills are essential.
  • Proven track record of originating and closing new client relationships.
