Our client is a global leader in solar racking and mounting systems, supporting renewable energy projects around the world. In Australia, we are expanding rapidly within the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Utility solar sectors, providing robust, cost-effective solutions designed for Australian conditions.
We are seeking a motivated Technical Sales Manager to help strengthen our market presence, build strong customer relationships, and drive sales growth across Australias large-scale solar market.
About the Role
As a Technical Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and providing technical and commercial support for solar racking projects in the ground mount solar farm sector.
Youll work closely with EPCs, developers, and installers to identify opportunities, present tailored solutions, and help deliver successful project outcomes.
This position is ideal for a technically minded sales professional who enjoys working independently, managing long sales cycles, and contributing to a growing company in a fast-moving industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the C&I and Utility solar markets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with EPCs, developers, and project partners.
- Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals tailored to customer needs.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure accurate and timely project quotations.
- Manage the full sales process, from lead generation through to contract negotiation and project handover.
- Represent Antai Solar at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
- Maintain up-to-date sales forecasts, pipelines, and customer records using CRM tools.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in technical sales or business development within the solar or renewable energy sectors. Preferably within the ground mounted solar farm sector.
- Strong network within the solar sector across a broad range of stakeholders from developers to installers.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities and close deals.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong relationship-building skills and customer focus.
- Self-motivated and organised, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Engineering or business qualification preferred but not essential.
